I have a three 3-pin DC brushless fan that I am trying to connect to a 2-pin mini fan header. The 3-pin fan has a 3-pin mini- connector like is depicted in the attached image.

I want to remove the mini three-pin connector and replace it with a mini two-pin connector.

How do I remove the three-pin connector?

The side of the molex that has the holes in it, the pin has a tab that sticks up to keep it in place. All you need to do is push it down to pull the pin out. I use a pointy knife or a pointed tip tweezer to do it. After you take the pin out just make sure the tab is pulled back up before you put the 2 pin fan connector on, otherwise the pins will slide right out.
