Satellite Pro L40 CPU Upgrade

Want to upgrade processor in the above laptop, Intel GM965 Chipset Codename Crestline cant find much reference to processor compatibility for it.

Could overheating be an issue if I upgrade, and what about BIOS compatibility?

Would any system running the GM965 have the same processor upgrade options or does it depend on more factors than just chipset alone.
