Socket problem?

CPU-Z says I have am3 socket, but when I go to the website of my model it says, "Only socket AM2+ processors are supported with this motherboard."

so thats only am2+ cpus that that board will accept...
check for newest bios maybe it will support newer am3 (i doubt it tho)
watch the 95watt tdp...

I believe the main difference for AM3 is that the board uses DDR3, AM2+ uses DDR2. If you look at the list of CPU's supported, it is the current CPU's used by AMD that are 95w TDP or lower.

Look at the link you gave us under "Memory Upgrade" information. That board takes DDR2 memory. Therefore, it can't be a socket AM3 board as AM3 will only use DDR3.
