Just curious looked into this a bit. But looking for suggestions. Friend of the family is having some major problems with her daughter (early teen) using the computer. She does not want to take the computer away because of homework etc. But, she wants to be able to know what she is doing on the system.

Just curious what software is out there. Free or paid suggestion wise.

I dont know about software.

I feel like spying is going over the top, yes it is her kid, but spying may be one stop too far, a private life should be allowed to anyone. Start out with a parent control system maybe, ability to lock certain pages.

Web browser history is also a great spy tool.

On the other hand, i never had anyone look me over the shoulder as to what I did online, and I think I turned pretty porn.

I use K-9 on my kids tablets and PC's. It basically blocks sites they shouldn't be visiting and will make a barking sound if you so wish when they try to visit sites they shouldn't
