My work recently go rid of a bunch of Sun Sunfire B1600 with B100s blades in them.
I saved these from the recycling and would like to sell them on Ebay.
The issue is that I have no idea if they work and would like the test them out before I sell them.
The other issue is I have no idea how to test them. I know if you can telnet into them, but I haven't been successful with opening a telnet connection when the server is connect to my home network via the management port.
Does anyone have any idea of what I need to do? E.g is there software I need to install on the testing computer (which runs windows 7 or 8.1). Are there a set of commands that can get the blades and the chassis to do a set of diagnostics.
Also, since my work was throwing these out, do they have any value?
