What the what?! Lots of green this week. Green = good. Let’s keep the pressure on these guys. If they want our spot, they’ve gotta earn it. Let’s make them work for it. Lot’s of winter storms in the US so if you’re in those areas, please stay safe and ramp up your folding power so you can stay warm. Living in Michigan, all schools and libraries are closed but I had to get my silly butt into work. Otherwise I’d be at home looking to see why my production is low from yesterday.

Funny story. Not funny haha. By the time I walked into my building, traversed the long hallways, climbed 24 stairs, got to my desk, shed my winter gear and stepped over to my supervisor’s office to get my temperature taken, I measured “low”. So at least for today…. I’m dead. I should ask if I can take my 5 days bereavement leave. Please send all cash donations to: Don’s 3080 memorial fund.

Side note: After I wrote this, I got called to look at equipment at our jail. Turns out the security system still prevents the walking dead from entering/leaving. Just something to keep in the back of your head.

Maviryk is really pouring it on this week. I’ll bet the household is happy for all the extra heat. I mean, I assume that they’re thanking you. Not that you could hear it over all that noise but thanking you all the same.

For the most part, everyone is earning about the same or more than last week. Except for me. I dropped far more than what is acceptable. At least I have OSUmaxx with me who we’ve established is not from Ohio State so that’s all good. Thanks Maxx. Actually, we’re both earning more than we did last week too but we both fell two spots. I guess that speaks to how well the rest of ya’all are doin’. So that deserves a woot. WOOT!

Team Milestones.
torin3 just earned….. 7…… BILLION! WOOT!
JTCOOL just earned 60 million.
_Dave_S just earned 60 million.
flifisher just earned 8 million.
StephenB just earned 8 million.
CivHunter just earned 2 million.

Milestones are definitely fun. For me it was great in the beginning because they came fast and easy. As you get higher up, they are harder to achieve but feel more rewarding. Milestones are always “earned”. You didn’t “get” your milestone, you earned it. Congratulations to you all.

Thanks!

I'm a little distracted this week. One of our cats managed to break all the metatarsals in his left rear foot. He had surgery yesterday to pin the bones, (almost $4K for the surgery).

Here he is, on the good pain meds.

Congrats to everyone, and best of luck finding new GPUs before winter is out :)

That Cat is lucky to have you, my mother wouldn't have paid that much to fix one of her 9 kids...:rain:

Pet insurance I hope?:eh?:

No insurance. I did set up a facebook fundraiser, and that is helping some.

But the only options we had, since they said just splinting it would not work and was advised against, was amputation at $1.5-2K, or the pinning surgery done by an orthopedic vet, the price difference was small enough we'd rather try and fix his foot. He is only 7, so he has quite a bit of life left.
