All my folders and files were gone from desktop.
The fix was to right click desktop, sort by, and select any of them.
But last time i restarted pc, the folders and files were gone again.. so i had to repeat these steps..

Next time it happens, open Explorer, browse to the Desktop, and see if everything is there. It sounds like the icons are being pushed off the screen.

I like to arrange my Desktop icons where I want them to be and not alphabetically.
If something like this happens, I don't want to be arranging them again.

If anyone ever wants to do that, this right click Restore Desktop program allows for that:

Yes everything is there. Looks like they are pushed off the screen.
