Upgradeing HD problems..

Hey guys,

I have a problem upgrading my backup drive. Its on my current system (sig). I upgraded my IDE 80gig to a IDE 250gig, formatted and partitioned, then when I restarted, it'll post the drives, but wont go any further. I checked the jumper settings, and switched out the cables but still have no luck. The drive works if I put it in my external case. Any ideas?

Did you check to see which one is set as the boot device in the BIOS?

well i made sure it booted from my raid setup in the boot menu before installing the drive. when i install the drive, i cant even get into the bios setup or boot options.
