Use laptop screen as monitor for a computer?

Is there any way, perhaps through a PCMCIA or PC Express Card, to use the laptops screen as a monitor for a computer? Perhaps the add-o card would have a VGA/DVI connector to allow the computer to connect to?

Anyone heard of such a thing?

Well, of the three places you posted this (Hardware, Display, Specialized), this is most appropriate in the Display forum. In any case, it would have been best had you simply posted once in an inappropriate forum and had a mod move it, rather than 'spamming' across three.
