So I've OCed my E8400 to 4Ghz and my DDR2 800 to 1000 at 5-5-5-18.
This runs stable for over 25 hours under Orthos and I eventually wanted to use my computer again so I stopped it...

When I turn on my machine, nothing happens for a while (just fans spinning)... then, after taking much more time than usual, it acts as if something failed and i had an oveclcock that was too high. I go into the bios, and then exit without changing any settings. When I do that,it boots into windows right away.

Again, system is 25 hours orthos stable. what gives?

Dam 1.48v to the chip is alot for 4.0Ghz for my liking. Mine is 1.3v. However 2.2v for the ram is nominal. What mushkin ram to you have? Got a link with specs?

Also have you raised the voltage to the NB?
