weird virus hit?

this one computer appears to have been hit by some type of scare ware.... it boots to an FBI page saying illegal download and need to send money to them. is there a way to bypass this and fix it?

Take the drive out and install it in another computer and scan it with your favorite programs. Malwarebytes, Security Essentials, Etc...

Should do the trick.

google "fbi moneypack virus removal" there are MANY MANY tutorials on how to remove it.

all of which can be done within safe mode.

I heard this was going around again. An AV should get it but it's always good to do a little research & see if there are any other bases to cover.
