GeIL's Golden Dragon-series has proven to be capable bandwidth-memory. Although their timings suffer compared to CH-5 and BH-5 chips. GeIL recommends timings of 2-3-3, although some users have gotten 2-2-2 using GeIL Golden Dragon-series. Most CH-5 and BH-5 memory are rated at 2-3-2 and 2-2-2, respectively.

GeIL uses their own chips, which are rated faster then most of their competetion. For example, in their PC3700, they advertise the use of 4.5ns chips at timings of 2.5-3-3-7. With the units switched from tCK (clock cycles) to ns (nanoseconds) the timings are 11.25-13.5-13.5-31.5 (1 tCK = 4.5ns). This is greater then 10-10-10-25 (1 tCK = 5ns) that is used on BH-5 and some CH-5 chips. But it's on par with CH-5 chips running at 10-15-10-30 (1 tCK = 5ns).

Although there is much more to memory then simply bandwidth and timings, GeIL is still a quality memory manufacturer. They do have their problems, like most, however. And it's a betting game to purchase.
