My board supports it but never really understood what it really is for? I assume it's a boost tech for people using HDD only system ????
 
mSATA (mini-SATA) is the same thing as SATA, just a different, smaller connector. So, adding a mSATA SSD would be pretty much the same as adding another Crucial M4 to one of your normal SATA connectors unless you use Intel Smart Response Technology for caching your HDD.
