It seems like its really hard to find ram that has the bad *** D9's that where clocking like mad theses days.
I know crucial ballistix for the most part is not putting out the double sided stuff that was the high clocking stuff so that out of the question.

I was thinking bout something like this..
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...top+Memory)-_-OCZ+Technology++Inc.-_-20227184
seems like a fair price for what it could clock up to.

Im trashing my ballistix and getting some Kingston HyperX. Not sure if they are the good D9s but they are much better than this crucial crap.

im not positive but i believe those are d9gmh.its really hard to find confirmed d9gmh/gkx now.your best bet is to find pc2 9200/9600.the only ics that can run that speed are gmh/gkx so you can be sure its one or the other.
the only other stuff that runs less than that is the gskill hzs but even those may no longer have gmh :(
goodluck with your search.

I believe so too and it's so hard to tell which is a guaranteed D9's these days. Also, I heard that 4GB modules are unable to use D9 chips.

(I'm assuming you meant 2GB modules... there's only one 4GB module on newegg right now)

I just bought a set of mushkin 2x2GB HP2-6400

If they're the same modules that they're reviewing (the model number is different but I believe it is the same based on Newegg reviews) these can hit 600MHz+ (2.5V)

See these:

(OOS though)

Will update with stable settings once I get around to tweaking.

Yup, but I have hered that some cant get them to oc well tho. I got a really good batch to. They are cheap so if they dont oc to high then it wont mater to much.

k this is what im thinking. it can be water cooled and they seem to clock pretty high!

im almost 100% sure those are gmh.maybe a slight possibility of gkx.either way they should fit your needs nicely.what kind of oc are you looking to hit btw?

They will do ddr2 1000 cas 5 easy(all stick should be able to do that or they need rma). So these should be good past 500 fsb, mine do 600+fsb.

you have a gem there caboose.unfortunately 500mhz isnt the norm for those.from what ive seen most generally will do 425-450 :(

not sure tbh.the only corsair 8888s ive seen are the cas5 dominators.which oced nicely(1200+ but i forget the voltage used).altho running 2.4v for long periods wouldnt be a good idea for any d9s(even with active cooling).
if the dhx is priced right they would definately be fun to play with :)
