Going to get back to socket 2011 with what should be a rager 4930k and have some questions regarding rammyrammy.
Looking over the subs, people are using all kinds of different sticks (at different speeds and timings). I'm thinking of using 4x2GB of psc.
Have 6 sticks that all do 2666 8-12-8 super tight
Voltage needed is:
Stick # - voltage needed
1 - 1.78
2 - 1.80
3 - 1.84
4 - 1.85
5 - 1.87
6 - 1.88
So...2 questions...
1) Which 4 sticks should I use? Am thinking take the 4 with the lowest variance in needed volts (so sticks 3-6)?
2) How can I figure out which slot to use for each of the selected sticks? Seem to recall reading that this choice can give pretty noticeable differences in results.
Yes...cpu speed is king but trying to place as high as possible in the rankings on the 2D's.
