Wierd Random Artifact only on Aero Backgrounds

MSI afterburner has a vram stress tester? Thats what im lookin for

i dont think so, they were using furmark, which does not test video memory as hard as some of the things in the Atitool/gputool does. those programs can roar through the memory and break an overclock setting that is too high much faster than furmark.

With a furmark test, which is similar to some of the 3D benchmarks , i could have memory set too high overclocked, and eventually have a problem in a game. with Atitool if i survived all of its testing, then a game would survive for hours of playing.
(results will of course vary)

Well ive heard lots of people having issues with the low idle clocks not being able to handle demanding 3d Desktops.

I don't believe that will kill the OS quietly either.
Lockups are when you go too high.
