Windows 7 SP1 Update error 8000fff

Well have not been able to update to SP1 due to the following error . I have scoured the internet and tried many MS fixes though problem still remains

Any suggestions

Why don't you tell us what you've tried so far, so we don't suggest the same things to try. And instead of installing SP1 via Windows Update, try downloading the actual *.exe from MS here...

Well don't really know what i'm doing , tried the MS FIX it 50202 , same story . Also tried resetting the update components , didnt work . Tried the clean boot fix , didnt work .

Now I will create an admin account and manually install SP1 , see how that goes

OK so I tried the standalone SP1 updater exe . I get another error 'Catastrophic Failure Error: E_unexpected(0x8000ffff)'

This is really winding me up , almost spent two days with this error

Any other suggestions ??

It was an official Win 7 , though I used a Daz activator because of problems

only as a temporary measure just to stress test the system

Nevermind close thread, I will re-install from fresh . I have official licenses so will try again

I'm locking / closing this thread because you used a crack to activate Windows. If after re-installing Win7 you still have problems w/ updating to SP1, then you can start another thread.
