My mother's old computer is starting to die on her software wise. It's had the same original install of windows XP for probably 6-7 years. She's the kind of person that doesn't notice those little boxes to uncheck when installing things so there a billion different search bars on her web browser.
Anyway she doesn't use a computer for anything outside of web-surfing and email. I'd like to reformat it and get it all cleaned up with a new install.
Do you think an AMD +2000XP processor with 1gb of memory will handle windows 7 or is that going to sink? Right now it's so nailed with bloatware it isn't even functional.
