So I was dumb for my first time upgrading my CPU/MoBo and didn't fully check the info. The MoBo I bought is http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138293 and the CPU I bought is http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103727

Well the problem is my CPU isn't on the mobos support list and its TDP is 95w while my CPU is 125w. I'm wondering if this will even work or if I need to spend more money to get another MoBo or if this should be fine.

I researched the TDP thing and most of the sites said it shouldn't be to big of a deal as long as I don't push it. Which I doubt I would because I play basic games like Counter Strike: Source, Garry's Mod, and Team Fortress 2.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Also its coming in the mail tomorrow so I was wondering before I even put it together.

Maybe, some mobos are locked so that they flat won't POST with a >95w tdp chip.
Others will work, but the mosfets will get hot.

If it works, I would underclock and undervolt it to keep the mosfets happy.

What about the BIOS? Also could you please link me to a tutorial for underclocking/volting

Just go into bios and find the CPU voltage line item. If it were me I'd return the board and get a heavier duty one. I think you will not be happy with it.
