Hi all,
I bought some new 2133 Mhz RAM (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231476) which supports XMP.

Under CPU-z I can't see 2133. I only get 1066.1Mhz under DRAM Frequency, is this normal, am I looking at the right place?
Also, my NB Frequency keep cycling to various numbers: 1798.9, 3697.7, 3298.0 etc.. is this normal?

I went to the BIOS and selected the XMP profile 1 which lists the correct settings (Mhz, CL etc..) but I had the same result. Then, I went again to the BIOS and used the Profile but also manually set it to 2133 (as opposed to AUTO) but still nothing. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks.
Alexisvx

Have you tried updating BIOS to newer version?

Something is not right especially the NB clock speed jumping around

@ alexisvx, DDR3-2133 = ~1067MHz , DDR means double data rate so effective clock is 2133MHz ( DDR3-2133 ) but real clock is ~1067MHz. That's why you see 1066MHz+ under DRAM frequency.

+1

The northbridge speed jumping around is also normal unless you set it manually.

Woomac & Earthdog thank you for your answers. I was worried that I was doing something wrong.
Cheers
