Hi there,
I’m looking at an MSI Z390-A Pro for my i5-9600K which I can overclock with (not too much though), any thoughts on the MSI Z390-A Pro? The reason for not getting a Z370 is that PC Part Picker says it might not be compatible, is this true and if so is there a Z370 motherboard that is?
Thanks Very much

Z370 boards need to have the latest bios flashed on it to support 9th gen cpus. Not all have been updated if you buy now. Z390 natively supports the cpu.

A good read: https://www.msi.com/blog/intel-z390-motherboards-lineup

For msi board, I'd rather the gaming edge ac or tomahawk. What is your budget for the board and what do you need on it (wi-fi? USB type-a, etc...)?

For overclocking i5 9600k a MSI Z390-A Pro will overclock a little. I would go for GIGABYTE Z390 UD LGA 1151 it will overclock to 5.0GHz.
