What exactly do you mean by windows froze?
Did you OC the GPU as well?
My first suspicion would be that your CPU overclock is not stable and causes windows to freeze. Im no AMD overclocker but maybe you post some of the settings you made, max. temps under prime, your vcore, ...

Tnx for your reply

Yes i mean Windows froze, i need a hard reset for booting Windows.
And no i didnt OC the Gpu.

I did forget to say i did the same test with the CPU on stock settings.

And at this topic you can see the primetest with temps, etc.

Oh okay, so if your PC freezes with everything on stock, you should forget about overclocking for now. We have to solve that issue first. Things that would come to my mind:

1) Perform a clean re-install of windows
2) Update all drivers
3) If 1 & 2 didnt help, you could try and update your BIOS

Report back here :)

Good luck!

Ok

When cpu is on stock setting i can run 3mark5 without problems

When cpu is at oc setting Windows freeze when 3 dmark5 is in the second run, i think thats the cpu run. At that moment Windows frooze, there is a problem with the OC then i guess.
Strange, no problem with 3 Hours Prime blend test, and 3Dmark freeze

I think this problem need to be solved into my tread, and this is not the 6870 problem.

In that case you need to ask RGone or Johan etc as to what would be the Fix for this problem. AJ.

They should be around later as its only 10am i think in the USA!
