Contest Results are in !!!

Ladies and gents,

jivetrky wins the Silverstone Strider ST85F sponsored by deadeyedata.com
and
sno.lnc wins the Corsair HX520 sponsored by tankguys.biz
Congrats winners !!!

How were the winners picked?
I made a list assigning numbers 1-29 to all the participants. Then, I asked SSS to pick two numbers between 1 and 29. He picked 1 and 2. So logged onto RANDOM.ORG and obtained a sequence of random numbers. The numbers it spit out were:-
ocforumscontestbz3.jpg
The winners were the first and second numbers. These two numbers were compared to my original list and the winner was chosen.:)

Winners please contact me with your shipping address.

Goals:

  • Immediate: This contest would serve as a sorting pool for our A,B,C,D and E teams for the "Forum Wars" Competition.
  • Short-Term: Encourage increased participation and membership in benchmarking.
  • Long Term: Increase the dedicated benching pool by 100%.

Rules:

  • Duration May 1 2007 - May 30 2007.
  • Competition begins on the first of May and the results will be announced by the end of May.
  • Submit one valid, fresh benchmarking run in 3DM06, 05, SPi-1M, SPi-32M and Pifast. (Will be validated by the Benching team leaders and myself).
  • A random lottery will decide the winner. This is to ensure that everybody, no-matter what kind of a rig you have will have a chance at winning.
  • Post all your scores in this thread.
  • Multiple entries are o.k, but only your best score will be used to slot you in a team for the Forum wars. :)
Software to be used (Use these specific versions!):

Prizes (for now):

More prizes are in the works, so keep those benches coming!
  • Corsair HX520 (Sponsored by Tankguys.biz)
  • Silverstone ST85F (Sponsored by Deadeyedata.com)
  • Non-US winners are requested to split shipping costs with me. US winners get the item shipped for free (i.e. its on me).
Have fun guys!

Tip#
I'd suggest members also try to qualify for access to the Team discussion lounge. This is a great opportunity to do so. There are quite a few benching secrets in there that could signifiacantly boost your scores for the Forum Wars competition.

I'm having the worst time with my P5B-D right now. Can't even boot 1mhz over stock anymore. Trying to figure out how to boot from a flash drive so I can change this BIOS. :bang head:

Yay, fair chances for everybody! I'll be back with my scores in a moment.

BTW, is it only one entry per person, or one entry per rig?

dan

 sno.lnc!

Dan, multiple entries are o.k, but only your best score will be used to slot you in a team for the Forum wars. :)

You have a month to iron out the problems. What exactly is going on in your case?
This P5B-D is just really stubborn. For some reason, it doesn't like to be overclocked. When I restart the machine with my OC settings in place the monitor refuses to put out a signal. Now sometimes it will work, most of the time it doesn't. On the good news side I discovered my old Gigabyte DS3 (Rev. 1.1 F5 bios) is working now. Later tonight I will install everything onto that board. Last time I used it, it ran 500FSB just fine. So it should do what I need it to.

Thats just an issue with X1900XT + Monitor

I had the same exact problem before, and it took me a long time to figure it out.

If you don't think the machine posted, turn the monitor on and off and see if you get a picture ;)

SN, good timing for a competition (for me anyhow)

Ordered my Thermalright Ultra 120 eXtreme yesterday will be here Tuesday next week.
Just sold my 7900GT, my mate should have the money to me by the end of next week then it's 8800GTX time :) ..
And May = Winter here, so I should see one or two over night lowes of -3 to -5
So my benches will be about two weeks away but they will come

Edit: Not that Im in it for the prizes, but at the same time I wouldnt say no to them, But what about guys like me that dont live in the US, are we still in to win ?

Hmm, deanzo after the pathetic capitulation in the SF against SL, I ought to ban all Kiwis from the forums. :D :santa:

I'll split shipping costs with you.
