does anyone know of a good aftermarket southbridge
and northbridge cooler? separated or connected i don't
care.
thanx.

antec spot cool all the way...or zipties and a 120mm fan like the pros do :D

does the Thermalright HR-05 fit on both
north and southbridge and is it compatible
with my mobo?

well my sb and nb coolers are connected via a heatpipe
so i can't change only one. also the thermalright isn't
compatible with my mobo. any other solution?

Is there any reason an antec spot cool won't work? maybe just better case airflow with some cable managment or something...

unfortunately i am not very comfortable with
that, i am afraid that i will break something. besides
i don't have a drill.

you could mount a 120 on top of a stack of standoffs or 2 if you want...it looks ghetto but it works...

i know but the problem (most cases i've read)
won't go away. (always talking about the specific mobo)

that sounds like bad contact between the heatsink and the bridge then...if you take off the cooler and go with 2 of those tr thingies you might be able to drop your temps a bit.

try reapplication of thermal paste on the nb/sb? use some good stuff like shin etsu x23

well that was the first thing i was going to do
but i thought it would be better to change
the cooler too. well if there isn't a compatible
one i'll stick with the paste.

the "they don't fit that's the problem" comment
was about the thermalright heatsinks

Try reapplication of thermal paste first...no reason to spend more money than you have to.
