I am thinking about going with a pelt for my main rig. The thing is my cpu dissipates a little more than 140w(XP 1600+@2009 2.2V), so would a 226w pelt take care of this? Also, what kind of temps can I expect? With my current watercooling I get 56C load ondie. Thanks

First thing to due is get NewWatt3 from in here in one of the forums. It will tell you how much of an overclock you habe and how many watts of heat your throwing off. Secondly normally you want to get a pelt thats double the heat watts you have. You should get below ambient, but you will not get below 0C.
