4850 x2 vs 4870

They are about the same price and the 4850 x2 is fast cause of the dual GPU's but the 4870 has GDDR5. Both about the same price. Opinions?

4850x2, can be better than GTX 280 at times

The 4850x2 2gb is the way to go 512mb per core is not enough for frame buffer to keep running smoothly. For anything @ 1920 resolution and up you really need the extra ram to run max settings smoothly.

Well put mysterfix. If the 4850's are cheaper than the 4970 then get the 2 4850's even if the 4870 has GDDR5 ram
