What do you think of this ultra-budget system build/upgrade? it will be replacing my intel 640 and abit aa8xe listed in my sigline. All the other hardware will remain.

I plan on overclocking the e2180 to 3.5 to 4.0ghz.

I am upgrading my system to play crysis. I would like to get a q6600, but im a poor college student and have a beer budget that I have a responsibility too

What do you think? good enough for Crysis?

you plan on getting 3.5 on a E2180? Planning on running DICE 24/7? lol, sorry, the world record for one of these is 4.0 so I don't think you should expect that much out of it. I'd say go for a E6550. Or maybe a E4300.

i would suggest tring to get the extra money for a E6420 over the others for the L2 cache reason. about the only thing i would suggest a E2xxxx cpu for is someone wanting a stepping stone to either the 1333fsb cpus or the new 45nm cpus.if your lucky enough to still get E4300's though i would go for one of those, the prices may not have dropped since intel put them on the EOL list. the board is a solid choice though, if you did get the E2xxx though expect a more real oc around the 3.2 - 3.4ghz range. even at 3ghz it would smash your P4@4ghz.
