Are the MOSFET heatsinks too big??

Are the Radio Shack heatsinks blocking any air flow? If not, I can't think of any reason why the CPU temperature would increase 5C. I found that temperatures can be influenced by even tiny air currents, and it's also necessary to let the equipment run for at least 30-60 minutes and measure the room temperature.

Maybe the Radio Shack Heatsink got stuck in the CPU fan

PS the Radio Shack heatsinks are a bit large 25mm Long by 15mm wide by 15mm in height

Aluminum is not a better passive cooler then copper. The only way copper is better is when there is no heat at all being applied it will cool off faster.
