Benchmarked pc with both 3d ark 2000 and 3d ark 2001 default screen resolutions was use pc was over clocked to 1470mhz but graphics card was not over clocked this are my results with use of different detonator drivers ;

Drivers 3d mark 2000 1024*768*16 3d mark 2001 1024*768*32

10.50 8698 4100
10.80 8854 4094
11.00 8699 4119
11.01 8840 4136
12.00 8940 4128

6.18 8747 3502
6.50 9254 3837
7.76 9697 3924

As you can see from the results drivers 7.76 was the best performance on 3dmark 200 and drivers 11.01 was best on performance on 3dmark 2001 . So decided to over clock graphics card to core clock to 315 and memory clock to 500, this was my results

Driver 3d mark 2000 1024*768*16 3d mark 2001 1024*768*32

7.76 10177 4682

My specification is as follows ;

Athlon 1 ghz axia over clocked to 1470 mhz (10.5*140)
Abit kt7a-raid motherboard
Geforce 2 ultra 64mb
5.1 soundblaster
2*IBM 30.7gb hard drives in raid mode
256mb of pci 133 cas 2 ram

I am using the 12.40 beta drivers from guru3d.com and they seem to work ok. I was a big fan of the 6.72 drivers, but these 12.xx drivers seem to do the trick for me. It is hard to get above a 2700 score in 3DMark 2K.

I did pretty much the same thing yester day, i didn't use as many drivers, and only in 3dmark2000, but my results are consistant with pauls.

7.76 = 5515
1080= 5218
11.01=5100

the 7.76 are definetly faster than the later drivers in 2000.

The new beta12.40 drivers gave me the best benchmark score (5750) in 3Dmark2000. Also, Detonator 10.80 and 11.01 drivers both gave me excellent results. For those who don't show better performance gains with the 10.xx and higher drivers, remember, they are supposedly optimized for use with DirectX8.
