Best settings for my new build?

I have been itching to build something new for awhile now - as you can see in my sig, my current rig is aging quickly.

Just want some overall opinions/advise on what settings I should begin with to obtain the optimal OC with this setup.

If you ask me, the E8500 probably isn't worth the price difference from the E8400. If you just want more power than the 8400 and have the cash go with the E8600...

And what about video card? Or are you a non-gamer?

Video card is listed there, ASUS EAH4850 TOP/HTDI/512M Radeon HD 4850 Video Card.

It was only a $20 difference between the E8400 and the E8500...and the step up to the E8600 was $90 more then the E8500. I went for the sweet spot.

Was hoping for some nudges in the right direction as far as bios settings to get this project up and running from an OC standpoint.
