BF1942 not letting me multiplay!

Any server I try it says - data differes from server - what's wrong? I have the 1.6 patch so why can't I connect?

Make sure that your arent trying to connect to a server with a Mod running, like Desert Combat. If you are trying to connect to a regular BF1942 server, maybe try to reinstall the game/patch and see if that helps.

Yeah, most servers have content check on, and if your game files are different, they won't let you in.
