I know this should be in the memory forum, but I posted there and the mem forym just sucks.

I have some RAM that says C2 on each ram chip. CL2 and CS2 can both mean CAS2, but what about C2?

Its still in packaging, not opened so I cannot test. Does not say cas2 anywhere on the box. It was a gift, so if its CAS2 i'll take, if not I'm not sure what I'll do :)

if there is no other text on the package that could be construed as a CAS rating, than I would assume the C2 is it.

Aftershock,
Not only does the memory forum suck , so does your spelling. How about doing a little research (Tom's Hardware, Anand, AMDZONE and other numerous sites.) to find out what is going on??
Not trying to be a pain, but do your homework.

p.s. There is a ton of info on this site, if you put out some effort.

your right

us "old school" OCer's do more reading than anything else

a year ago i didnt know **** about overclocking ....so i read everything i could find on the net for MONTHS and MONTHS

now (not bragging in any way) know alot about this stuff

then applied it and worked through a lot of things BUT reading is your FIRST key to be a good overtclocker and to have good over clocks

i read firingsquad and anandtech.....I just wanted to know of C2 was a term for cas2...since all articles always say "cas" "cl" "cs" but never just "c"

not like I was asking how to unlock bridges or something... :(
