I downloaded Powerstrip and tried overclocking to about 300/300...it was working fine and then I started getting garbled junk on my desktop while running 3DMark. It then continued on the desktop. I tried moving it back to the default, but for some reason, it only lets me set it to 274.5/274.5 or 276.25/276.25.
Is 274.5/274.5 the true default or should you be able to get back to 275/275?
Also, after changing it back to 274.5/274.5, I am constantly getting VPU Recovery errors or crashes while running 3DMark/games.
I am not sure if this is caused by the Catalyst 4.4 or the fact that I was messing with the OC'ing.
Can anyone help me out?
My system specs are:
1.8A ghz Intel Northwood w.512KB L2
1.024GB Samsung PC2700
Soyo Dragon Ultra
ATI AIW 8500
Various WD Caviar HDs from 80-160GB space
Win XP/W2K dual boot.
I'd like to either overclock the system keeping it stable or just return my system to a stable point where I can run 3DMark/Games all the way through again.
Thanks for your time.
Chuck
