I had to get a new rig for work and becuase our egghead accountant orders the computers he's ordered a Dell Dimension 4600.
Question is: can you overclock these rigs? What kind of mobo is in them?
The rig will be here next week and I was just wondering. In case I get bored at work and want to mess with oc'ing.
Specs are: p4 2.66 HT/ 800 fsb
80gb WD IDE
512 DDR/ 400mhz

Dell uses their own motherboards with a bios that completely prevents overclocking. You might be able to adjust memory timings, or maybe overclock through a Windows overclocking utility such as CPUFSB (which is very doubtful), but that's about it.
