OK, really need some advice on this.........I've got a Lite-on 48x burner. When i burn a CD, data verification is failing quite often. I've got a low 5 volt rail( 4.75). My 12 volt is dead on. Does anyone know if the laser isn't getting enough juice????? Really need some help here......

Doubt it, I Burned my DVD-R media and my +5 rating is at 4.8 and after data verification it still perfect. I use Nero to Burn.

Are you using CHEAP CDR media?

Yeah, i slowed my burn time down to 8x and got good results, guess i'll just have to do that from now on

Sounds like your media isn't quite up to snuff. Stick w/ brand names like TDK and Memorex (is it live? :)). They've always worked very nice for me :)

You're probably right, with a name like kingpro, it can't be that great
