I recently put together a spare comp and set it up for myself.My son and his wife wanted it so I gave it to them.Every thing on the comp is in my name ,how do I change it over so it's in my sons name?.

I would probably do a reinstall that way it eliminates any and all info and lets them start fresh.:D

90% of programs you install gets your name and company from your Windows installation. Only way is to reinstall everything or spend years searching through the registry :D

Thanks guys ,looks like he can live with it . It isn't hurting anything. I will wait till a new install is needed dont fix it if it aint broke!

Download a copy of x-setup and it will allow you to change the name. Or you can edit the enteries in the following :

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion

Please make sure that you backup the registery first
