comp problems

i dont no if its the monitor or not. . . but. . .
i just plugged in my bros 5.1 sound system. i plugged in all 5 speakeres and the subwoofer. but wen i turn on the computer, before it gets to the windows loading page, it turns blank and just stays like that. everything is plugged in, buty i still dont no wat the problem is. please help me! :

i could prob find out wat speakers they are, but my bro is at a college thing. . . but hell be back tomorow, so i wanna seem smart and no before tomorow
