Hey guys

Ok here's the deal. I'm on part 3 of my quest to see what my system can do and so far the memory is the most interesting, yet frustrating part out of it all :bang head . Here's what I've gotten so far:

TwinX sticks, 2x512mb, Divider 1:1, 1T, using Memtest86+ v1.65 (5x Test5, 5x8 to check)

210FSB, 2-3-3-6, 2.65V Pass
220FSB, 2-3-3-6, 2.70V Pass
230FSB, 2-3-3-6, 2.75V Pass
235FSB, 2-3-3-6, 2.75V Pass

I've been trying to get it stable at 240, but keep coming up with diddly. Not much info available when I use the search (found 3 threads. 1 Anandtech link in one and another guys testing in the other, but can't replicate it). This is what I've tried so far without loosening the timings too much:

240FSB, 2-3-3-6, 2.75 Fail
240FSB, 2.5-3-3-7, 2.85V Fail
240FSB, 2.5-3-3-7, 2.85V Fail
245FSB, 3-3-3-8, 2.85V Fail
245FSB, 2.5-3-4-6, 2.80V Fail

240FSB, 3-3-3-9, 2.85V Passes Test 5, fails Test 8. This setting took the biscuit. Accidently booted past POST and loaded up XP. I got a 'Either missing or corrupted \Windows\System32\config\system' error. Balls. Safe mode didn't work, last good settings nada. Funnily enough I hit 'Error tracking mode' and it booted up fine (backed up my docs just in case, luckily I partioned XP on it's own 5GB area, so no biggie if I have to reinstall).

Just wondering if I have a shot at getting to at least 250, or whether I've pretty much hit the wall with my mem. My HTT max is 1125 and board can do 305. Now just wondering about the memory. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
