Does anyone know how to turn of Crc error detection beacsue my friend sent me a copy of his wedding on a dvd-r which works fine in my PS2 but when I try to rip it to my computer so I can make a copy it says somthing about a CRC error

what are you using to rip it?

I was going to use the windows copy tool first then encode it with Dr Divx but that failed with a CRC error so I then tried dvd shrink which also failed for the same error. The dvd drive I have is old but it still works and plays all other dvds and cds fine.

try dvd decrypter to get the files over

the DVD plays fine in an external drive? no large scratches or anything on it..?

there are a few scratches on it but no major ones
