I want to erase everything on a old hard drive I have so I can sell it. dont want them to see alll that porn I had ...just kidding...so how would I do this? its not installed just sitting on my desk here.. I know I need to hook it up in my system as a slave but then what?

please help

You could also use the drive manufactures diagnostic utility to write zeros to the drive, or just reformat it in windows.

The options I listed are in order of security - the first would be nearly impossible to recover anything, the second is also practically impossible, and the last is very easy to recover.
 
hook the hard drive to the system, turn on computer and go to my computer, on the drive that you want earase right click and look for format, click on format and check quick format in menu that pops,
