Do DSL routers have a modem in them?

Do DSL routers have a modem in them or does a DSL modem have to be purchased seperately?

Usually the dsl modem is given to you by the dsl provider, since the only allow certain types on their network, unlike cable where you can buy any modem you want.

Ahhh.... no wonder I haven't seen any DSL modems at newegg
