Does Vista cause high Ping?

I have 3 computers on my LAN here at home. One is the rig in my sig (with Vista), the others are a Dell 2400 and a IBM T30 laptop, both with XP. The Laptop is wireless and the Dell is plugged directly into the router, as is the main rig.

In WoW, my main rig has a latency of 280-350 constantly. The Dell and the laptop are well below 200 every time I have checked them.

The only guess I have to why this is happening is Vista. Is this a known problem or do I need to look elsewhere?

It seemed to raise my ping in BF2 and CS:S from around 25-45 to about 50-90, but my XP installations have always been tweaked and it could have been immature vista drivers rather than vista itself.

Ahh. So it is possible that there is a problem but it might not necessarily be Vista it self.

Me too. My ping might have even gone down slightly with Vista, but either way it wasn't enough to matter.

Ditto. Same ping in CS 1.6, TF2, and HL2: Deathmatch.
