Well, my "new" rig is up. Added 2 36gb raptors in raid 0, a 550W PS from Antec and a 3.0 SL6WU L348A890 packdate 02/05/04.

Initialy i was using the silicon controller but that gave extremely poor performance. I switched to the intel sata/raid controller and now its smoking. I score arround 90 marks in the Sandra 2004 File System Benchmark. So the hdd upgrade was a hit.
The CPU is another story though. While with my good 'olle 2.4C i could do 280FSB in 2-3-2-6, now i can barelly do 234 FSB, and thats with 1.675V. My temps have gone up atleast 8C, and generally this chip is a miss. Looking forward in selling it and getting myself one of those 1.2-1.4V steppings. I got better performance from a 2.4 clocked at 3.3 than what i get from this punk @ 3.51

try another one ...my runs 3.83 at 255fsb @ 1.6v Aircooled:D

even runs pi @ 3.9 if she has to..hehe

I've been through 3 3.0Cs' already and the average is around 3600Mhz. I would consider waiting for the SL78Z. Your gauranted a 30 cap and 1.25-1.4v compared to a hit and miss SL6WK/SL6WU!

SL6WK here. 236 MHz FSB is all she'll do and stay prime stable. Will boot into windows and run Aquamark3 @ 250 but isn't close to stable. Air or water cooling, no difference. I'll be looking for a new SL78Z, but I'm going to let others try them out first.

I just ordered a mach2 gt, so i have changed my plans. when i get some dosh again i will be investing in a 3.2EE hoping to get it around the 4.2-4.3 mark. I have seen quite a few running @ those speeds.
