number one its pointless for us because unless you are using a workstation board, you can't use it seeing it uses a PCI-X slot, and this is the price point

If the competition are other revival workstations such as Orion Multisystems' computers than such cards are unlikely to be priced below $10,000.

I said drool, not rationally considering purchase Besides I've heard that there is a pci-x to pci-e adapter in the works.

there isn't. well yet at least, there is only an unreleased albatron AGP->PCI-E Adaptor
