This test will be slightly chaotic as I had limited time for tests ( one evening ).
As in title, this thread is about G.Skill Ripjaws 4 - F4-2666C15Q-32GRR so 32GB DDR4-2666 memory kit.
SN is suggesting it's Samsung based kit. Also overclocking results are suggesting the same. Since it's not my memory then I didn't want to take off heatsinks.
I was testing this memory mainly on ASUS Maximus VIII Ranger but XMP test was also on MSI X99A RAIDER with the only available P0 BIOS ( really I was counting MSI at least released 1-2 newer versions but board seems stable ).
There is only one XMP profile but it's not working on Z170 at all - board is showing 55 error code so simply memory is not working. On X99 for which it's designed, XMP profile is working without issues.
XMP on X99 motherboard is below:
XMP on Z170 is not working but I was able to set similar settings manually and it's working fine.
