That is a horrible score indeed! Are you sure you forgot to set things to performance mode before you benched? :p

The 9000/9200 series is a crippled radeon 8500. The 9000/9200PRO gets about 8,000 last time I checked. I should think you would get at least 6,000 though. Upgrade drivers?

i just installed the latest drivers and it actually made my score go down slightly.

That is quite an objectable statement you got there. You need to learn more on the r200 and rv250 architecture. The 9000 series has less fillrate than the 8500s. That is the only part in it that is less advanced. The 9000s have a much better pixel shader engine, as well as an enhanced triangle setup engine. In the latest games it would be like this 9000 Pro>8500>9000np. 9200s are the same as 9000s but with agp 8x.

Now to the op. The 9200 should be getting around 7500 in a decent system. 9000 Pros would get 9000 to 10,000+ depending on the system it is in. Make sure you have all the latest drivers, dont have any aa/af enabled, vsync is off, and make sure you dont have any spyware orb background programs taking your cpu time.
