Hi Guys,

Ive recently purchased a Saphire HD3850 256MB/DDR3 Vid Cardm
Apparently it was a bargain for money.

Anyway,

I wanted t overclock it, but i thought ill check what the temps are at stock levels running a 3d intense program before i do any overclocking.

I ran RivaTuner on default options, ie:
CORE=669
MEMORY=820
Just to double check what it's settings is out of the box (no modding done)

So i ran Attitool (that box that turns around)
RivaTuner's monitor noted a 98-99% GPU load while the temperature crept up to a freakn 89-90C level and stayed there...the fan was also set to auto. i.e at certain temps, it will increase the fan speed.
So is there sumtin wrong with my card, or is this normal? i dont believe a stock card shuld hit 90C on full load.

Try manually setting the fan at 100% in rivatuner and see if this makes a difference. I have a gecube 512MB 3850 and mine never goes above 60C stock on about 40% fan.
