Hi everyone, hope everybody enjoyed their holidays.
After reading several parts of the overclocking guide in the forum i decided to overclock my CPU. I started off at a steady overclock then built myself up to a final overclock that i was happy with. Here is my end result;
HTT i changed to 3X (4x default)
Multiplier i left at 10X (default)
Core i set to 240 (200 default)
Memory divider i changed to 2/1.66 (2/2 default)
Voltage i set to 1.475 but in CPUZ it reads 1.456
The results i got was a stable boot up and in CPUZ my results are:
Core Speed: 2400.6Mhz
Multiplier: 10X
Bus Speed: 240.1Mhz
HTT link: 960.3Mhz
Ram Frequency: 200.1mhz
Now my questions are:
Is this stable for gaming?
Do i need to edit my Ram timings?
Should anything be changed?
Is there anything i need to run to verify full stability?
Have i done it all wrong?
Basically..any recommendations lol??
CPU: AMD Athlon Venice 3200+
Motherboard: Gigabyte K8NSC 939 + BIOS Ver F8
RAM: Corsair Select DDR400 2Gb Dual channel
Cheers
