Just built-temp issues with p4t-e

I just built my first o.c pc:
asus p4t-e (ics chip yeah!)
p4 1.8a
512 rdram
ati radeon 8500

now when i open motherboard monitor,
using asus probe 2 reads 39 degrees

using asus probe 2 cusl2 yeilds 52 idle!!
is that right???
the heatsink is cold to the touch....

i am using stock heatsink

the pc hasnt been on more than 1 hour and these temps?

is this right
or am i doing something wrong?

oh also its in a cooler master atc-201 case
with an enermax fan
so theres plenty of airflow

I've been running my system (p4t-e, P4 1.7, 512 RD, Radeon 8500, etc) for about 4 months. My temps are similar to yours MBM reporting around 39-42 C depending on use. Board has been rock stable. I have all stock HSF right now (although I have lapped and re-set with AS3).

People seem to think 40C is okay.
