As this will be the first time i have ventured into removal of a heatsink (non-cpu) How do i go about doing it? (without breaking stuff) I have intentions of adding something like a Blue Orb (or is there better?) w/arctic silver, but am worried about whether the stock heatsink is epoxied or what. Can someone who has removed these before advise me?

Remove your mother board from the case turn it over and push the plastic pins that hold the heat sink to the board out. There should be some thermal past on the northbridge but no epoxy.

You will not gain much speed by using bigger hsf on the northbridge. The stock hsf seem to be doing the job quite well. I have tried peltier (68w) on the bridge but without any noticeable speed gain, perhaps 2-3mhz (fsb).
